institutions in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Institute of Education,

such, the ¡§Small Class Teaching Research and Development
Project¡¨ seeks to facilitate the professional exchange and
development
on small class teaching through conducting research, organizing
seminars, conferences, workshops and publishing literature.

Mr.
Ip Kin Yuen
Mr. IP Kin Yuen, Lecturer of Department of Educational
Policy and Administration at the Hong Kong Institute of Education.
Formerly part-time member of the Central Policy Unit of the Hong
Kong SAR government and member of the Decision Support Unit of
the Education Department. Currently President of the Comparative
Education Society of Hong Kong. Co-editor of ¡§Policy and Practice
in Small Class Teaching: A Collection of Perspectives and Experiences¡¨
and author of various publications on education policy.

Dr.
LAI, Kwok Chan
Dr. LAI Kwok Chan, Head of Planning & Academic
Implementation of the Hong Kong Institute of Education. He
is the Principal Investigator of a project on small class teaching
and
the co-editor of ¡§Policy and Practice in Small Class Teaching:
A Collection of Perspectives and Experiences¡¨. His research
interests are in the areas of the demand and supply of teachers,
the attractiveness
of teaching profession and educational policies.

Dr. Chan Kam Wing
Dr. CHAN Kam Wing is a lecturer of the Department of Curriculum
and Instruction at The Hong Kong Institute of Education. He has
a wide range of teaching experience in different education sectors,
including primary, secondary, tertiary and adult education. He
has served as a consultant for some primary schools in projects
like cooperative learning, curriculum integration and project
learning. Dr. Chan has authored a number of publications such
as research papers, books and book chapters with a focus on curriculum
and pedagogy. Some of his recent publications include three books
entitled ¡§Hong Kong Curriculum Reform and Cooperative Learning¡¨,
¡§Teaching Strategies and Classroom Organisation¡¨, ¡§Integrated
Curriculum: Exemplars of Curriculum Development (Stage 2)¡¨.
