2022-11-03

This collaborative research project is conducted by the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology (MIT) and theIntegrated Centre For Wellbeing (I-WELL)  at The Education University of Hong Kong(EdUHK). The purpose of this study is to enhance the behavioral performance of school-aged children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) through the use of an innovative smart vest.

Participants: Children aged 7-12 with ADHD and typically developing children

Location: EdUHK campus or other suitable recording venues

During the experiment, children will be asked to wear the intelligent sensing vest and complete a 45-minute general knowledge lesson following given instructions.
Within a 15-minute period, they will also have the opportunity to wear a VR headset and engage in a virtual reality classroom experience. The remaining 30 minutes will be a regular classroom session.

The entire process will be recorded and is expected to take approximately 2 hours for each session.

There will be a total of two sessions, with a combined duration of around 4 hours. Participants who successfully complete both sessions will be rewarded with HKD 500 worth of supermarket vouchers.
