RPg Brown Bag Lunch (11 April 2024)

The Vice President (Research and Development), Professor Chetwyn Chan, and the Dean of Graduate School, Professor Michelle Gu, hosted the third Brown Bag Lunch of the academic year on April 11, 2024.

Eight PhD students from different departments shared their academic backgrounds and research areas while gaining valuable advice for their research and future career paths.

Professor Chan provided some informal study and career mapping for each of the Year 1 students who attended. Professor Gu discussed research plans and shared her everyday life experiences at the University and in Hong Kong. The casual atmosphere enabled students to build their peer network while gaining confidence in communicating with senior members of the University.

The Graduate School hosts Brown Bag Lunches regularly to create a platform for students to access informal mentoring and knowledge sharing among the EdUHK community.

RPg Brown Bag Lunch (13 November 2023)

The Vice President (Research and Development), Professor Chetwyn Chan, and the Dean of Graduate School, Professor Michelle Gu, hosted the second Brown Bag Lunch of the semester on November 13, 2023.

Seven PhD students from different departments shared their academic backgrounds and research areas while gaining valuable advice for their research proposals, designs and future paths.

Professor Chan provided some informal study and career mapping for each of the Year 1 students who attended. Students also had a chance to build their peer network while gaining confidence in communicating with senior members of the University.

There will be another two Brown Bag Lunches in semester 2.

RPg Brown Bag Lunch (19 October 2023)

The Graduate School held the first Brown Bag Lunch of the semester on 19 October 2023. Eight RPg students from different departments and cohorts enjoyed an informal lunch with the Vice President (Research and Development) and the Dean of the Graduate School. RPg students shared their academic progress and study experiences while gaining valuable advice for their future paths.
