The birth of cloned sheep (Dolly) has declared the success of animal cloning. This breakthrough in the research of science has announced that scientists have marched into the era of human cloning.
Animal cloning is the most astonishing technique to increase the quantity of livestock and animal products.
This could also perpetuate particular animal strains for production purposes.

Cloned Sheep - DOLLY
In March 1997, a scientific breakthrough occurred. Ian Wilmut of the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, announced that he and his colleagues had cloned a sheep (Dolly) from a cell taken from an adult sheep.

Cloned Calf - GENE
In September 1997, Infigen Inc., a biotechnology company, created the first cloned calf named Gene in the world. It was cloned from a non-embryonic cell.

Cloned Pig - DOTCOM
In March of 2000, the group that created Dolly sheep from Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, announced that the first cloned pigs were produced.
Five cloned healthy piglets were cloned from an adult sow.
The five piglets were named Millie, Christa, Alexis, Carrel and Dotcom.
