Professor Rupert Maclean, Chair Professor of International Education and Director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning Research and Development at HKIEd, has been awarded the University of Tasmania (UTAS) Distinguished Alumni Award to recognise his outstanding service to the community and UTAS, and his significant contribution to issues around poverty and education in developing countries as well as within Australia.

The award has been presented at the Annual UTAS Foundation Awards Dinner in Hobart on 22 March 2012.
