| The World Association of Lesson Studies
(WALS) is an association of educational researchers and
teaching professionals from various countries in the world
who are dedicated to educational research that focuses
directly on improving the quality of learning in classrooms
and other formal learning environments through pedagogical
experiments or action research. |

| Name |
The name of this organization is the
World Association of Lesson Studies, hereafter referred
to as WALS. |

| Aims & Objects |
| WALS serves to provide
a network to facilitate communication between the research
groups in different countries to share their knowledge
through three main activities: an annual conference in
which teachers will participate with academics to share
their Lesson Studies; an international journal named “The
Journal of Lesson Studies and Learning”; and a website
that links the different Lesson Study sites together. |
