Join WALS

Membership

WALS membership shall be open to any researchers, scholars and teachers that show interest and/or achievements in the research and/or practical area of classroom teaching and learning regardless of age, race, sex, or religious affiliation. Every person who agrees with this Constitution and who has demonstrated interest in pursuit of researches and studies in the area of teaching and learning in education can apply for becoming a member of WALS.
All members shall be eligible for active membership by attending the annual general meeting and other WALS activities.

 

Benefits of Membership
Members enjoy the following benefits:
reduced fee for WALS conference
access to WALS Conference proceedings
access to WALS Conference presentation videos and materials
bulletin containing papers presented at conferences by members
networking with WALS members through WALS activities, bulletin and a database of members' profiles
yearly newsletter that includes a registrar of members research and scholarly interests

 

Termination of Membership
If a member, in the opinion of the Council, acts in any way so as to prejudice the aims or objects of the Association or in such a way as to bring the name of the Association into disrepute, the Council shall have the right to suspend or cancel the membership of such a member provided that such member or a representative thereof shall have the right to be heard by the Council before any decision is made as to suspension or cancellation of membership.
 
Data Protection Act

Any member consents to the retention of personal data including their name, address, telephone numbers, email address being retained in electronic form by the Secretary of the Association or any other officer of the Association duly authorized for that purpose. Individual personal data shall not be transferred to any third party.
