Mr. Andrew Chan, Chairman and Managing Director of Kim Lung Fashion Limited, and Mrs. Grace Chan.

Encouraged by his father’s enthusiasm and contribution to the society, Mr. Andrew Chan, Chairman and Managing Director of Kim Lung Fashion Limited, and Mrs. Grace Chan donated HK$5,000,000 to the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, The Hong Kong Institute of Education to support the establishment of Visual Arts Education and Community Development Project. With the aim on initiating knowledge transfer through arts, the project will provide financial support to Visual Arts staff and students in research and involve in art education and social development activities. It will benefit the under-privileged and the elderly through knowledge transfer activities and community services.

HKIEd has named a 111-seat performing studio after Mr. Chan Shiu-chow, the late father of Mr. Andrew Chan, to acknowledge the generous support of Mr. Andrew Chan and commemorate the enthusiasm for education of his late father.

About Mr. Chan Shiu-chow
Mr. Chan Shiu-chow left his home town in Chiu Zhou and built up a successful business in Hong Kong. He worked continuously to improve the living standards and education in Chiu Zhou. Mr. Chan’s was widely respected for his benevolence and charitable spirit.
