Emergency financial assistance is available for students who face financial hardships caused by sudden changes in family or personal circumstances which have an emergency nature. Students who have an immediate need of cash in times of emergency can ask for help to avoid the risk of either terminating their study at the Institute or adversely affecting their academic work. Successful applicants may be granted a Croucher Foundation Emergency Fund or a HKIEd Emergency Fund. Applications are open throughout the year. Emergency loan, subject to the availability of funds from The Hong Kong Rotary Club Students' Loan Fund, provides interest-free loan to students. Students are advised to approach the intake Counsellor of the Student Affairs Office directly for assistance as soon as possible.
