Self Introduction
Dr. Chow Chak-On obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA in 2001. He wrote his doctoral thesis under the direction of Professor Ira Gessel of the Department of Mathematics, Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. Chow’s research interests include combinatorics and numerical analysis. Before joining the Hong Kong Institute of Education, Chow had been a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Hong Kong Baptist University and at the Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinica in Taipei, and a teaching staff at a local sixth-form college teaching AL Pure Mathematics.
