Media Production Venues

We maintain various media production venues for staff and students to produce their own media materials for teaching and learning activities. Details functions and features of the self-produced venues are listed below:

Media Production Rooms


Desktop Audio Recording
The Desktop Audio Recording and Editing System includes: Desktop computer and powerful audio software “Audacity”. Audio teaching and learning materials can be produced as common Windows formats such as: wave and mp3. Users can save the audio outcome into their external storage device through USB connection or burned to audio-CD for backup storage and presentation.

Non-linear Editing System
Different non-linear editing systems are installed aiming at different users. For editing beginners, “Windows Movie Maker” is recommended. Intermediate users might like to edit with the “Ulead Video Studio”. For advanced users, more challenging “Adobe Premiere” might be the best choice. Through the Nero burning ROM and DV tape recorder, video outcome can be burned to VCD/DVD or export to DV tape for backup storage and presentation.

TV Studio
Installed with professional lighting and recording systems, the TV Studio is the best venue for students to video record their teaching performance and tryout the production of instructional video. The video outcome can be burned to VCD or export to DV tape for backup storage and presentation.
