ITDG seminars

The Centre organizes lunchtime seminars with presentations from departmental project teams who have received the Teaching and Learning Grants and IT Development Grants. The main objective of these seminars is to allow each project team to report on the progress and outcomes of their project to academic colleagues within the Institute.
These seminars also serve as a forum for the exchange of practical experiences and relevant information on the use of the Blackboard Learning Management System

Academic staff on teaching and learning –Assessment of Integrated Learning

Current project under development include:

Research and Development Project in using Rubrics as Instructional and Assessment Guides for the Non-Written Mode of Independent Enquiry Study, conducted by MSST and funded by EDB. Since Education Bureau is going to implement Independent Enquiry Study Report as the school-based assessment of Liberal Studies in the New Secondary School curriculum by 2009, LTTC assists the project to study the learning process, outcome and assessment of the IES report in non-written mode. Students are guided to produce an IES video presentation throughout the process and it is expected students learning would be enhanced under learning with technology approach.

In addition, we initiate research and development regarding the application of the latest information technology to support teaching and learning. For example, video database and image database are two innovative developments designed and managed by our team supporting various academic and Institutional activities. Staff are encouraged to explore the two databases.
