RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborating with faculty members for the purpose of research and journal publication
- Utilizing new instructional methods or pedagogies (e.g., use of technology, collaborative learning, constructivist learning, simulations) and creative techniques that effectively engage diverse students and actively support different learning styles and behaviors.
- Attending and conducting classes, workshops and seminars on teaching and learning and utilizing instructional technologies to support Outcomes Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL)
- Observing faculty-taught class sessions and discussing new approaches to teaching, learning and assessment with the support of e-learning initiatives
- Supporting staff in teaching development projects
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
- The use of technology to support social-constructivist learning environments, collaborative learning and effective learning environments.
- The development of cognitive learning skills and motivational dispositions and how this development can be facilitated through interactive and learner-centered mediated instruction and the incorporation of instructional technologies across teaching and learning settings.
