The Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology seeks to support the Institute's mission to foster professional excellence of its students and to prepare them to meet the challenges of the 21st century by assisting staff and students to utilize information and communications technologies effectively in education and develop innovative teaching and learning strategies.
The Centre endeavours to do this through:
- Facilitating informed reflection among faculty on teaching and learning with e-Learning in higher education;
- Conducting investigations of pedagogy, learning and assessment with e-Learning at the Institute;
- Enhancing collaboration among faculties in e-Learning curriculum design, development and implementation, particularly in relation to pedagogy and assessment;
- Providing educational consulting and advice to support technological innovations in teaching and learning;
- Exploring and promoting pedagogically sound e-Learning and m-Learning applications in support of blended learning at the Institute.
The Centre provides a range of services including:
- Management of the Blackboard Learning Management System;
- Consulations in e-Learning, m-Learning, instructional design, graphic design, and educational media (photo, audio, and video) development;
- Management of media production facilities.
