Professor Graham Gibbs's abbreviated CV Graham Gibbs is the Director of Insititute of the Advancement of
University Learning at Oxford University. He was previously Professor
and Director
of the Centre for Higher Education Practice
at the Open
University and Professor and Director of the Oxford Centre for Higher
Education Practice at the Open University and previously Director
of the Centre for Staff Development at Oxford Polytechnic. He is the
founder of the International Improving Student Learning Symposium and
of the International Consortium for Educational Development in Higher
Education. He has been honoured by several universities and organisations
for his almost 30 year of efforts to improve university teaching.
His current concerns are improving student learning through changing
