Then the HKIEd Buddy Programme would like to hear from you.

Becoming a buddy provides a great opportunity to discover more about life outside Hong Kong while remaining on campus, and to gain confidence in interacting with people from overseas by making friends with exchange students.

If your application to the Buddy Programme succeeds, you will be paired with one or more exchange students to help them settle in on campus. Use your “insider” knowledge of life at HKIEd and Hong Kong to assist your buddy to adjust to the new environment, answer questions, and organize activities for them.

Briefings and training are provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a newcomer feel at ease in Hong Kong, offering invaluable experience for your future career and social activities. 
 
How to apply
Recruitments usually start in May & November to enable HKIEd buddies to be paired with exchange students who will be joining the Institute in September & January. So look out for notices online and around campus telling you when to apply.
