13, 1/F, Block D3 ¡@ Dr Timothy Yuen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Policy and Administration, earned his doctoral degree from the University of Durham. He is teaching modules relating to political/ civic education, and sociological/ philosophical perspectives in education. His research interest comprises inter alia political/civic education, social analysis of education policies, and gender in education. Dr Yuen is an affiliate member of the Centre for Governance and Citizenship and the Gender Matters Group of the institute. He was the co-principal investigator of a project on promoting participatory citizenship and has also joined a number of externally-funded projects on different areas: Basic Law, curriculum reform, and promoting Hong Kong as an international hub of education etc. In terms of international collaboration, Dr Yuen once worked as a research team member in an intercultural citizenship project organized by the University of Durham, and has also helped as external examiner in oral examinations at master and doctoral level. He also worked on a spirit of the school project initiated by the University of Hull. Dr Yuen has published in different international refereed journals and has also helped with reviewing articles for journal publication. He is now an executive committee member of the Association for Childhood Education International (Hong Kong and Macau). ¡@
