Dear Colleagues,

Please note that the service contract of Staff Bus Outbound Routes 4 & 5 will expire on 30 April 2024.  A new tender exercise for these two routes has just been conducted and it is noted that an increase of 25% and 13% in the respective contract costs has been offered by the lowest bidder.

In line with the self-financing principle for establishing and running these Staff Bus Routes, the fares of these two routes will be adjusted from $14.0 to $18.0 for Route 4 and $17.0 to $20.0 for Route 5 with effect from 2 May 2024 (Thursday).  Your continual support is requested as both routes can offer a very direct and speedy connection to the Central and West Kowloon side which should be welcome by our colleagues.

We wish to remind that according to the running principle of the Staff Bus, we would consider suspending any route which fails to maintain financial sustainability, i.e. cannot attain the breakeven passenger level, for two consecutive months or in any three months within a running period of 6 months and we will keep monitoring the running situation of these routes and give you an update after a trial period of 2 months.

The Staff Bus service schedule effective 2 May 2024 is attached for your reference.  Sale of the new fare tickets for Routes 4 & 5 will be available from 29 April 2024 and refund of unused fare tickets will be announced later.
