Programme Aims
The overall aim of this programme is to
develop English teachers' capacity in implementing the
NSS English Language curriculum in their own schools
through building their knowledge and understanding of
the curriculum..

Target Programme Participants
Course participants will be any secondary school
teachers of English Language interested in the
curriculum change. Priority will be given to teachers
who have not previously attended similiar courses on NSS
Understaing and Interpreting in Curriculum.

Programme Requirements
Participants will be required to submit an action plan 4 weeks after the
programme is completed. They will identify an area of
interest for the development and implementation of the
NSS English Language curriculum. Detailed guidelines
about the action plan will be provided during the
programme.
Participants will be expected to have at least 85% attendance (4
sessions).
A certificate of attendance will be awarded to
participants who fulfill the above programme
requirements.
<TOP>
Special Arrangements for Bad Weather
(a) A session in the morning will be cancelled
when Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted or Black
Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued at or after
6:30am.
(b) A session in the afternoon will be resumed
when Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Typhoon Signal
No.8 or above is cancelled at or before 11:30am.
Otherwise, the session will continue to be
cancelled.

Enrolment for the programme will be
handled on a first-come-first-served basis. However, we
will try to include teachers from as many different
schools as possible. Completed
nomination
form
should be returned to us by post (The
