Self Recommendation Scheme
Introduction The Institute places great emphasis on the non-academic achievements of candidates in addition to their academic results. The Self Recommendation Scheme aims to enable students who excel in areas such as art, sports, music, creative writing, community services, personal achievements, etc. to gain admission to our full-time BA/BEd/BSocSc programmes. Candidates with outstanding non-academic achievements will be granted extra merits in the selection process. There are 17 full-time BA/BEd/BSocSc programmes offered by the Institute in the 2010 entry, namely
Eligibility If you have outstanding achievements in any one or more of the following areas and have chosen our BA/BEd/BSocSc programme(s) as your Band A choice(s), you are invited to apply for the scheme through JUPAS:
Sub-system for School Principal's Nominations
This Sub-system is to give due recognition to students who have contributed to social services or made outstanding achievements in non-academic areas or who have demonstrated leadership abilities. If you obtain satisfactory results in the admission interview, you will be given a conditional offer before the announcement of the 2010 HKALE results. The final decision on admission will be subject to your HKALE results and announced at the JUPAS Main Round exercise. BA/BSocSc Programmes Normally, no admission interview is required for BA/BSocSc applicants. Successful candidates will be given a conditional offer before the announcement of the 2010 HKALE results.
