Module Code 單元編號 SED4102 Module Title 單元名稱 MEETING THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS WITH DYSLEXIA Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course is expected to deliver the necessary knowledge to students to enhance their understanding about the characteristics of Hong Kong students with dyslexia and the relevant interventions and adaptions. Specifically, this course focuses on three fields of knowledge relevant to dyslexia in Hong Kong. First of all, the characteristics of dyslexia in Chinese and alphabetic languages. Secondly, the identifications of Hong Kong and other regions and countries, and related measures. Finally, designing and adapting corresponding training programs, teaching strategies, teaching materials, and classroom managements for Hong Kong students with dyslexia. In sum, the expected outcomes of this course are to enhance the enrolled students’ professional knowledge in recognizing those students have high risk for dyslexia as well as designing appropriate teaching strategies and contents.
