Module Synopsis 單元概要 |
The course is designed to equip students with an understanding of what is meant by applied psychology, of the domains in which psychological knowledge can be innovatively and professionally applied in different settings (especially in education and community settings), and decision rules concerning applied psychology such as the balance between the benefits of an intervention and the actual cost. This course also introduces students to potential ethical, financial, logistical, and methodological challenges in applying psychology and to the educational, cognitive, developmental and social psychological theories underlying applied psychology. Students will have an increased awareness of the psychology-related daily life problems, learn a range of skills required to apply psychological knowledge professionally and ethically, and achieve a detailed understanding of their chosen focus of application. This course provides insights for those intending to apply for more specialized postgraduate professional courses in psychology and for those intending to pursue a career in which psychological expertise of higher level is expected. |
