Module Code 單元編號 PFS3025 Module Title 單元名稱 DECISION-MAKING AND ISSUES OF DIVERSITY Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course understands development as a process of change involving various groups and individuals and occupying at local, national and global levels. In the light of this understanding of development, the course introduces students to diversity issues such as the importance of cultural tolerance and gender equity and the awareness of racial discrimination and bias in relation to pattern and content of decision-making in global context. Drawing knowledge from political science, public administration, management science, behavioral psychology, economics, and other social sciences, this course allows students to understand the dynamic nature of decision-making in a diverse setting and the challenges facing decision makers as well as other actors in decision-making process. In enhancing students’ competency in decision-making and problem- solving, students are required to understand some of the approaches, theories and techniques commonly employed in the field.
