But what is knowledge and how do we pursue it? This course provides a critical perspective on the traditional idea that schools, classrooms and the curriculum provide the ideal ingredients for conveying truth to students in the name of knowledge. It will explore different ideas as to what constitutes knowledge and truth, and how these ideas are reflected in a diverse range of teaching and learning methodologies.
