The quantitative and qualitative approaches and their strengths and shortcomings will be introduced. The course will enable students to acquire the basic skills in handling the initial stages of conducting a research study, including identifying a research topic, writing a literature review, adopting appropriate methods of collecting and analyzing data, and writing a proper research proposal.
