Catering for learner diversity through small class teaching
善用小班的契機照顧學習差異


Abstract 內容摘要
The symposium will examine methods to cater for learner diversity through small class teaching in three perspectives. First from the angle of professional development of teachers, it will discuss how the structure and principle of teachers’ development programme and content as well as school support would affect the teacher in viewing and handling learner diversity. Then through case studies, it will share how schools can effectively address the diversity of students when formulating small class teaching policies. Lastly it will examine the reasons to adopt cooperative learning in small class teaching lessons, and to discuss factors that could affect its effectiveness.


本專題研討從三方面去探討如何善用小班去照顧學習差異。首先從教師專業發展視角，分析了教師培訓課程的架構理念、培訓內容及學校支援怎樣影響教師正視及處理學習差異。接着運用個案去分享學校如何擬定校本小班教學政策，以便更有效地回應學生的多樣性。最後探討在小班課堂上採用合作學習去照顧個別差異的理據，並討論影響合作學習成效的人的因素。
