"Accelerated Schools for Quality Education" is a project funded by the Quality Education Fund. This paper is to study the conditions of "Accelerated Schools for Quality Education" in promoting home-school collaboration based on the experience of a participating school. The paper firstly presents an overview of relevant literature on the topic of home-school collaboration for a better understanding of its trend both in local and international contexts. The paper continues with the study brief of the status quo in the U.S. and Hong Kong, with a local case study to exemplify how the project acts as a catalyst in home-school collaboration. Finally, the paper sums up several relevant suggestions from the discussion of the participating school experience on how to strengthen home-school partnership. With closed ties between parties, effectiveness of teaching and learning as well as support to different domains in school could be enhanced, which would ultimately benefit student learning.
