慈善賣物會籌集逾110,000善款 惠及22位同學親愛的同事及同學： 讓我們興奮地和各位分享一個好消息，今天舉行的慈善賣物會共籌得港幣$110,519元，由於所有善款將全數撥捐宿舍助學金，這意味著22位同學在來年即能享受最少一學期愉快的宿舍生活。 熱心人士在拍賣環節上踴躍競投，共籌得港幣$31,264的善款。16個參與活動的部門、學生、伙伴學校及各善心朋友捐出的物品義賣，則共籌得港幣$79,255 元。 是次義賣活動，不但已創下獲得最多同事、學生、校友及來自我們伙伴學校的家長和同學 (即香港教育學院賽馬會小學及香港教育學院滙豐幼兒教育發展中心 ) 參與的紀錄，更因為透過彼此合力籌集善款，令教院上下一心，關係更為緊密。籌得港幣 $13,287元的體育部更勇奪最高籌款獎，並於今日獲署理校長陸鴻基教授頒贈獎狀。 衷心感謝湯文嘉博士，鄧惠欣博士與"兄弟"組合及鄉師持續教育書院非洲鼓樂團，他們在午間表演節目中精彩的演出，為觀眾帶來極具視聽之娛的享受。對於所有參與是次善舉的人士，我們謹再在此致以由衷謝意，您們的支持，令活動別具意義，教人難忘。

Over $ 110,000 raised in the Charity Bazaar to help 22 students to enjoy hall lifeDear Colleagues and Students, We take great pleasure to inform you that together we have raised HK$ 110,519 in the Charity Bazaar today. As all proceeds will go to the Hostel Bursary, this means that 22 students will be able to enjoy a rich and fulfilling hall life for one semester in the coming year. Enthusiastic biddings for precious items in the Auction Mart have helped raise $31,264 and the sales of goods contributed by the 16 participating departments, student units, partner schools and various philanthropists have netted another $ 79,255 . The PE Division Booth has won the Highest Sales Award with a sales income of $13,287. A trophy has been granted to the PE Division today by Professor Bernard Luk, Acting President. Together we have set a record for the Institute to have involved so many colleagues, students, alumni as well as parents and kids from our own schools on campus, i.e. Jockey Club Primary School and the HSBC Early Childhood Learning Centre. These collaborations had in fact consolidated our unity and team spirit within the Institute community. The lunchtime performances by Prof. Gregory Thomas, Dr. Ronald Tang and the Brothers and the RTC Continuing Education College were not only magnificent but also amused our audience with sentiments and skills. Last but not least, we owe a heartfelt gratitude to all of you who had either taken part or contributed your valuables for sale because it is your enthusiasm and efforts that have made the Bazaar a truly memorable one.
