那夢想，就正是蕊展的理想及服務方針。蕊展的服務對象，是一群能就讀普通學校，擁有正常智慧的自閉孩童 ( 一般人通稱為亞氏保加症 ) 。他們雖然表面可以面對學校的要求，又憑他們超人的記憶力應付功課，可是，這些學童在社交和溝通上的困難，往往令到他們很難適應主流學校的生活，和同學也相處不來，讓家長和老師頭痛不已。他們的問題，比較起情況惡劣很多的自閉人士，似乎未嚴重至令公營機構加放資源去處理，他們，便成為了政府資源拮据下的犧牲品。

深深明白這些學童家長苦況的葉太，便決心開拓一項專為這群孩子和家長而設的服務。於是一人的夢想感染一群有心人士，找來熱衷工作，幹勁十足的工作人員，萬眾一心地從零開始，為孩童們作深入詳細的評估，精心設計小組訓練，度身訂造治療計劃，使這項服務在短短一年間立竿見影，成績斐然，深得家長的愛戴，成為在自閉服務行列中的奇葩。

能夠在早期的策劃上參與，我蠻滿足呢！希望有一天，我能親身進入這個充滿朝氣的大家庭和他們一起實幹，體驗他們服務的喜樂！

Project Aspire offers a comprehensive model of care that focuses not only on the needs of the children with Asperger Syndrome, but also that of the family and the school. After year-long weekly training, children with AS learn the skills that enable them to integrate more meaningfully in the school environment. The family’s involvement and the support by Project Aspire enable them to understand their child more fully and become more able to offer guidance. Discussions and meetings with the schools further enhance their acceptance of the child.

It is such a pleasure to see children who have participated in the Project showing definite improvements in their behaviours. Parents also greatly appreciate the support that they have received and feel more empowered in meeting their child’s special needs. It is truly an invaluable service for this group of children for whom so little help is available in the community.
