Introduction of the Exhibition

Professor CHENG, Yin Cheong has developed an interest in art and painting in the late 1960's. In the last three decades, he has developed a unique style in watercolor painting, which integrates an aesthetic expression of his sentiments with his re-interpretation of the Chinese spirit and western art ideas. His artistry illustrates the interaction between Man and Nature, emphasising the importance of harmony between the two.

There are about 50 exhibits in this exhibition, with an aim to reflect the development of his painting style over the years and his discovery of the inner and outer world. The exhibits are classified into the following 9 series: Thinking upon Mountains, Landscape Study, Riverside, In Nature's Embrace, Early Spring, Guilin in Memory, Inspirations from the Lotus, Flowers and Enlightening Trees.
