本計劃目標：
（一）了解本地中小學前線教師使用普通話教授中國語文科的實際情況及在教學中所面對的困難。
（二）設計一系列課程，培訓中小學教師能使用普通話教授中國語文科，並在培訓的前提下發展相關的語文教材協助教學，提供支援。
（三）在上述工作的基礎下，研究目前本港是否已具備條件在小學及初中階段嘗試使用普通話教授中國語文？推行的模式又該如何？能否有不同的模式供學校參考？

International Language in Education Conference (ILEC) 2001

     The International Language in Education Conference (ILEC) 2001 will be held in the Tai Po Campus of the Hong Kong Institute of Education this year. ILEC is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Education, the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and supported by the HKSAR Education Department, the Hong Kong Association for Applied Linguistics and the Hong Kong Association for Chinese Language in Education.
     The aim of ILEC is to bring together researchers, curriculum developers, teachers, teacher educators, and others involved in the teaching of English, Chinese and other languages and/or in the use of these languages for teaching and learning purposes. ILEC aims to bridge theory and practice and provide an opportunity for participants to discuss language issues in the full range of educational contexts: kindergarten, primary, secondary, tertiary, vocational and adult education as well as language teacher education.
     The theme of ILEC 2001 is "Reflecting on Language in Education", and sub-themes are "Language and Motivation", "Language Reform and Implementation", "Language Teacher Education", "Immersion Language Education", "Languages for Specific Purposes", and "Languages on the Internet".
     The Conference will place special emphasis on the needs and interests of classroom practitioners, with a strand where teachers in Hong Kong secondary and primary schools as well as kindergartens can address practical classroom issues by means of presentations, practicals or workshop sessions, and share their experiences with colleagues and researchers. This strand will run parallel to the rest of the programme for one day on Saturday (15 December 2001). Teachers who join the Conference from this point need to pay a lower registration fee of only HK$100 rather than the full registration fee.

  Details: 香港教育學院藝術系為了增加中小學陶藝教學的資源，現已建立了一個「學陶樂」的網頁，讓學生可以在網上自學有關知識和讓教師獲得教材上的支援。網頁教材由一班現職美術教師設計，網頁運作由香港教育學院科技創意中心提供技術援助，並得大學教育資助委員會-教學發展補助金撥款資助，圖片登載獲香港藝術館、香港大學美術博物館、浙江省博物館和香港陶藝家的支持，授予版權。
