Chief Executive Award for Teaching Excellence (ATE)

ATE was first launched in 2003 with the aim at recognising accomplished teachers who demonstrate exemplary teaching practices, enhancing the professional image and the social status of teacher and thereby gaining society's recognition of the teaching profession and fostering a culture of respect for teachers. The establishment of ATE Teachers Association pulls together accomplished teachers to facilitate sharing of good practices as well as foster a culture of excellence in the teaching profession.

The new Chief Executive Award for Teaching Excellence (2011/2012) recognizes 54 teachers in their teaching excellence in Arts Education Key Learning Area, Information of Technology in Education, and Pre-primary Education. 47 awardees are our alumni (around 87%), of which 23 win the Award for Teaching Excellence, and 24 are awarded the Certificate of Merit.

Since 2003, 448 out of the total 590 awards are bestowed upon graduates of HKIEd or its predecessor Colleges of Education. Please visit ATE website for details.
