The
Hong Kong Institute of Education (1994) was established by amalgamating
the former four Colleges of Education and the Institute of Language
in Education, namely the Northcote College of Education (1939),
Grantham College of Education (1951), Sir Robert Black College
of Education (1960), the Hong Kong Technical Teachers’ College
(1974) and the Institute of Languages in Education (1982).
